It was around the time that AlphaGo successfully challenged top Go game players, and we had the idea to create our own Doudizhu (a popular poker game in China) AI. The game app acted as a tool for the team to train the AI.
Looking back, this has been a fun and unique challenge for me. I was the sole designer in a 8-people startup and had no experience in game design. Our team managed to launch TNT Landlord on Google Play and App Store with 3 languages in 4 months.
